ChatGPT plugin

Clear Energy Facts Plugin for ChatGPT

Texas electricity plan data, structured for ChatGPT.

Clear Energy Facts gives you an up-to-date list of the best True Fixed rate electricity plans, along with the top Free Nights and Free Weekends plans on the market. Instead of wading through confusing offers and hidden fees, you get straightforward plan data you can trust. When paired with your Smart Meter Texas (SMT) usage data, it helps match your actual consumption patterns to the plan that will genuinely cost you the least, whether that is a steady fixed rate or a plan built around free nights and weekends.

What you can ask

“@Clear Energy Facts cheapest True Fixed plans in Houston, 12 to 24 months”

Returns current plans with the bill credit offers filtered out, priced at 500, 1,000 and 2,000 kWh.

“@Clear Energy Facts best Free Nights plans in my area. Do TDU charges apply during the free hours?”

Returns the free-hour window for each plan plus whether delivery charges are still billed during that window, which is where most Free Nights comparisons go wrong.

“Here is my Smart Meter Texas usage export. @Clear Energy Facts which plan costs me the least based on this?”

Attach your SMT CSV and ChatGPT runs your actual 15-minute interval data against current plans. This is the closest thing to a real answer because it uses your consumption instead of the 1,000 kWh assumption used by most comparison sites.

“@Clear Energy Facts would Free Weekends beat a True Fixed plan for my usage?”

Works with your SMT data to check whether your weekend consumption is high enough to justify the higher weekday rate.

Before you use it

What it does not do

The plugin does not enroll you in a plan and does not process a switch. It does not cover every retail provider operating in Texas, only the plans that pass our review. It does not return historical rates or predict future prices.

For a plan you find through the plugin, you sign up directly with the provider.

Plugin FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What to know about access, usage files and the plan data returned in ChatGPT.

Do I need ChatGPT Plus?
No. You can add and use Clear Energy Facts with a free ChatGPT account.
Is my usage data stored?
No. Clear Energy Facts does not receive or store the file through the plugin. Files you attach are handled by ChatGPT; the plugin only sends plan data back.
How current is the plan data?
Power to Choose plans are checked daily. Other reviewed provider plans are refreshed twice per week. Because providers can change or withdraw an offer between updates, confirm the current Electricity Facts Label and enrollment terms before signing up.
Does it work in Spanish?
Yes. Ask your question in Spanish and ChatGPT responds in Spanish.
