We created Clear Energy Facts with one goal: to bring transparency, simplicity, and trust to the electricity marketplace in Texas. After experiencing first-hand how confusing and misleading some plans can be, we decided to build a platform that empowers people — not providers.

We believe every Texan deserves clear and honest information before signing up for an electricity plan. Our mission is to build the most unbiased, data-driven comparison tool in Texas, one that puts users first, labels plans truthfully, and always shows the full picture.
My Story
Electronic engineer, working on my master’s in CS at Texas A&M. I moved from Venezuela in 2013 and spent years in Gulf of Mexico oil and gas. When I moved to Houston in 2022, I signed up for a usage credit plan in our deregulated market. I thought staying between 1,000 and 2,000 kWh would be easy, but it was not. The real issue was that I did not have all the facts, and I did not realize how hard it is to keep usage within a set band in a seasonal state like Texas. After that I decided to change it. That is why I started Clear Energy Facts. This website puts people first and helps you find the best plan for your situation. If you do not know all the details of your usage, no problem. We will guide you and highlight Truly Fixed plans without any tricks.
